This system can show current and forecasted data of rainfall and water level in sewer pipes on a real-time basis. The rainfall is measured and forecasted with high accuracy and resolution by the X-band MP Radar (XRAIN). The water level is measured by water level sensors with antenna installed inside sewer manholes, and forecasted by the data driven model or the run-off analysis. The spatial distribution of rainfall and water level in sewer pipes are displayed on Blitz GIS (Geographic Information System) and shared on Cloud Server simultaneously together with necessary information on flood prevention. Through the shared information on Cloud Server, the flood risk can be quickly recognized, informed and announced to not only related authorities but also residents.
The self-powered, self-recording and small-sized devices for measuring of water quality are installed inside sewage manholes and chambers. The inflow of rainfall and infiltration of groundwater into sewer pipes can be evaluated through measuring of water quality. The technology is useful for detecting the area of sewer inflow and infiltration. We also provide IoT sensor system with LPWA, which can collect and transmit the observed monitoring data inside sewer manholes to the cloud server of administration.
We have following many experiences on comprehensive maintenance works for sewerage system including sewer pipes, drainage and sewerage treatment plant in not only Japan but also the world. Some innovative approaches for maintenance of sewerage system have been applied, such as asset management system and preventive maintenance approach.
The technology is useful for identifying risk of road collapse caused by deteriorated sewer pipes. The preventive maintenance for road collapse can be implemented through the risk assessment and related road survey.
